The 73rd Miss Universe pageant is underway, with the finals set to be held in Mexico. The Hungarian semi-final recently crowned Nóra Kenéz, a pharmacist, as the most beautiful among 12 finalists, writes Index.
Held on September 28, the event attracted 636 entries, notably including a 40-year-old contestant.
Nóra Kenéz, originally from Szombathely (western Hungary) but now residing in Budapest, shared her journey into modeling. “I did not pursue modeling during my university years, but I felt a need to express my creative energies,” she explained.

Her motivation for entering the pageant was to represent hardworking, educated women, stating, “I think many young people view the participants of these contests as role models.”
The town of Kőszeg (also located in western Hungary) has expressed pride in her achievement, celebrating her connection to the Kenéz family. They posted a congratulatory message on Facebook, featuring highlights from the crowning ceremony, where she received the winner’s crown surrounded by courtiers.
Ms. Kenéz’s victory not only marks a personal achievement but also serves to inspire a new generation of role models in beauty pageants.
