Hungary will be the guest country of honor at the 24th China International Investment and Trade Fair (CIFIT). The event will take place on September 8-11 in Xiamen, East China’s Fujian province, reads the CIFIT’s website.
The guest country of honor will have a special role at the event, as it will host a series of promotional activities during the Fair. With those activities, the aim is to enable enterprises to better understand Hungary’s local policies and investment environment, and to facilitate direct communications between Chinese investors and Hungarian institutions and companies.
Hungary will introduce its investment environment, business climate and industrial resources, and Chinese companies will also share their investment experiences in Hungary.

At the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center’s stand C312, a 50-seat venue will be set up next to Hungary’s booth, with simultaneous interpretation. The 2024 International Investment Forum, that will be held parallel with the Investment and Trade Fair, is set to focus on the theme “Expanding Financial Opening to Serve the Real Economy.” The main event will be the “2024 International Investment Forum and Financial Capital Serving the Real Economy Innovation Development Conference,” with a series of parallel activities in Chinese and English for on-site discussions with businesses interested in investment.
In the morning of September 9, there will be an investment exchange conference with Hungary in the focus, followed by an import and export trade promotional event in the afternoon. On September 10, there will be a presentation of Hungary’s tourism industry in the morning, followed by a demonstration of Hungary’s agricultural products and a presentation of the country’s innovation industry in the afternoon.
