The magic of summer garden cinemas will be evoked in Dég (Fejér County, central Hungary) on July 5, when cinema fans can watch The Great Gatsby in the fabulous English garden of Festetics Mansion. In addition, the Mare Temporis Foundation for Historical Traditions will conjure up a living museum, writes Turizmus.com.
On Friday, June 5, from 8.30 p.m., visitors to the English garden can look forward to a real relaxing, “popcorn-fueled” film screening. Before the film starts, those who buy a combined ticket can visit the thematic exhibition in the mansion building, where they can learn about the history of Freemasonry, its Hungarian aspects and the life of the Festetics family through interactive experiences.

Those who are more comfortable and arrive early can enjoy the film sitting on a bench, while those who prefer romance and a picnic atmosphere can enjoy the movie on their own blankets.
Popcorn, refreshments, cold beer and spritzers are available, but visitors are not allowed to bring their own food and drink.
The following day, between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., the Festetics-kastély éjszaka (“Festetics Mansion night”) will be an exceptional evening of fun and entertainment.
Through interactive games, visitors can learn about the gastronomic, fashion and beauty curiosities of the 19th century. Furthermore, those interested can discover what the circus was like during the Belle Époque (the turn of the century, 1871–1914).
A spectacular night-time show will entertain the audience with fire-blowing, acrobatics, juggling and strongman shows.

The De Bono Kreatív Műhely will be present, especially for families with young children, who will be amazed by the circus acts. Singer-guitarist Márton Hangácsi will perform solo, but his concert will go beyond the usual one-man acoustic performances. The songs will be modern and richly orchestrated. To close, Dj. Jámbor will create an unforgettable atmosphere.
The Páskom 1802 Gasztroműhely will offer special snacks, while the castle’s café will serve delicious wines, cocktails and desserts.
During the event, there will be boat rides, a hand ferry, a selfie machine, a secret tour and guided tours of the garden.
