Andrea Katzenbach was crowned the new Miss World Hungary (Magyarország Szépe) in a gala show broadcast on Duna TV channel.
The jury also selected two runner-ups: Jázmin Cseh as the first and Alexandra Horváth as the second, reports hirado.hu.
The top five finalists included Kamilla Kiss and Rebeka Dalma Szivos. Additional honors were awarded to Adél Grósz, who won the audience prize, and Kamilla Kiss, who claimed the Miss Charity sub-competition title.
This marks the eighth year that Hungary’s beauty queen has been chosen through a live televised event, a tradition that began in 2014 when the pageant moved to public media.
The winning contestant will hold the title of Miss World Hungary for one year, representing the country at the international Miss World finals. Additionally, she will serve as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Amigos for Children Foundation during her “reign”.
The competition showcased contestants in four different costume categories: the creative tour featuring creations by Hungarian designers, the national tour, the evening wear tour, and the sporty and fit tour.
