Prime Minister Viktor Orbán engaged in discussions with leaders of the European Round Table for Industry (ERT) at the Carmelite Monastery, the Prime Minister’s press chief, Bertalan Havasi, informed the press.
The meeting was organized as part of the preparations for the Hungarian EU Council Presidency in the second half of the year, starting on July 1.
Attended by heads of Vodafone, BMW, Deutsche Telekom, and MOL (Hungarian multinational oil and gas company),
the meeting focused on enhancing the European Union’s global competitiveness, a key priority of the Hungarian presidency.
Discussions revolved around proposals by major industrial players to improve European competitiveness. Mr. Orbán praised the contribution of European industry to the well-being of the continent’s citizens. Additionally, the manufacturing industry commended the economic environment in Hungary.
