The court has ordered the arrest of a juvenile who created content promoting the Islamic State terrorist organization.
This decision, in line with the prosecution’s motion, aims to prevent evidence tampering and reduce the likelihood of a repeat offense, as reported by the Central Investigating Prosecutor’s Office. With the assistance of the Counter Terrorism Center, the juvenile had been arrested on Monday.
The suspect was subsequently questioned on charges of incitement to war and other crimes.
The proceedings contain classified information that neither the Central Investigative Prosecutor’s Office nor the court can disclose. However, they emphasized that, contrary to some press reports, there is no information that should cause panic.
The Metropolitan Investigating Prosecutor’s Office has taken the necessary child protection measures. They noted that extremist organizations have extended their propaganda and recruitment activities to the internet.
These materials alarm many adult users, but extremist organizations deliberately portray their activities in a “romantic light” to attract vulnerable young people.
This issue needs to be addressed, they emphasized. If a parent or teacher notices such signs, it is important to seek professional help.
