Ryanair Soon to Connect Budapest with the City of The Beatles

Ryanair will connect the Hungarian capital with Liverpool twice a week from October 28, writes Airportal.hu.

According to the Irish low-cost airline’s booking system, from the start of the winter timetable, flights between Budapest and Liverpool will be operated on Mondays and Saturdays.

Flights will depart from Budapest on Mondays at 2:55 p.m. and arrive in Liverpool at 4:45 p.m. They will return to the Hungarian capital at 5:10 p.m., landing at 8:50 p.m.

On Saturdays, flights will be 40 minutes later.

Ryanair’s flights will be in direct competition with Wizz Air’s Liverpool service, which will also operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays based on the airline’s booking system for the 2024/25 winter schedule.

Some must-see sights in the city:

• Liverpool is famous as the birthplace of The Beatles. Various tours offer fans the opportunity to follow in their footsteps, taking in such famous destinations as Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields. Tours also usually include the rebuilt Cavern Club, where the band made its debut in 1961.
• The Royal Albert Dock is home to a number of first-rate attractions. These include The Beatles Story with its memorabilia, photographs, and films of the Fab Four; the International Slavery Museum; and the Border Force National Museum, telling the story of smuggling and contraband from the 1700s to the present day.
• An acclaimed branch of the Tate Gallery, Tate Liverpool, was also established at the Royal Albert Dock in 1988.
• Art lovers should also check out the Victoria Gallery and Museum. Located in a spectacular red-brick building at the University of Liverpool, the museum includes large collections of sculptures and ceramics, along with an impressive array of paintings.
• The Walker Art Gallery boasts a rich collection of works by Italian, Flemish, and French Masters from the 14th century to the present. These include masterpieces by Rubens, Rembrandt, and Rodin.
• The city is famous as the home Liverpool Football Club, so Anfield Stadium is a must-do for any sports enthusiast planning on visiting the city.
• Liverpool is a key city for the Catholic and Anglican churches, both of which have bishops there.
• The Philharmonic Hall is also a popular attraction in the city, regarded as one of the best concert halls in Europe.
• The city is also an attractive  shopping destination, particularly around the trendy Liverpool One.
