The National Toll Payment Services Plc. (NÚSZ) announced that from April 1, it is possible to buy a daily motorway vignette, and the new type of entitlement is available at a discounted price for motorbikes. The pass is valid for one calendar day, from 0:00 to 24:00 hours, on the entire toll road network in Hungary, reports Magyar Nemzet.
Daily motorway vignettes can be purchased in advance or on the day of use, but it is important to note that if the date of purchase and the date of validity coincide, the daily vignette grants the right to use the toll from the exact date and time of purchase, not retroactively, the company emphasized.
The gross price of the daily vignette ranges between HUF 2,570 and 5,150 (EUR 6.51 and 13.05) for the different fee categories and is available from April 1,
at the customer service offices of National Toll Payment Services Plc. and on its own online platform, as well as on the nemzetiutdij.hu website.
NÚSZ asked motorists who do not buy their daily e-vignette directly from the company, for example on the nemzetiutdij.hu website, to inquire in advance about the availability of the vignette at the planned place of purchase, as it is not yet available from all reselling partners from April 1.

The reform means that to ensure fair treatment of occasional road users from abroad, it is now possible to buy a vignette for a shorter period of time, up to one day.
The one-day vignette is worth buying if:
In addition, as Hungary Today previously reported, the price of motorway vignettes has risen significantly by 2024. Furthermore, 230 kilometers of toll roads have been added in Hungary this year.
