The country’s newest five-star hotel opened with a unique, holistic, health-focused concept, offering personalized treatments and programs. The youngest member of the Botaniq Collection luxury umbrella brand, Melea, is waiting for visitors to regenerate, recharge, and relax in Sárvár (western Hungary).
In February 2024, the newest five-star hotel of the Botaniq Collection luxury umbrella brand, Melea – The Health Concept, opened in Sárvár, Hungary, writes Turizmus.com. The hotel’s unique holistic approach focuses on supporting guests in achieving LLOA (Life Long Optimal Activity).
One of the hotel’s special features is that you cannot book for just one or two days, instead you can choose between four, seven, or 10 day packages.
“The reason for these unusual booking options is that a minimum of four days of rest, recharging, and treatment is required to achieve the right positive health effects,” the hotel’s brand strategy manager said.
At the hotel, guests will receive a personalized plan that includes health, beauty, dietetic, recreational, and mindfulness therapies and programs, according to their needs and requirements.
The hotel is spread over 3.5 hectares with a large garden, and offers 83 rooms and suites with balconies. It also pays special attention to sustainability and climate protection: heating is provided entirely by a geothermal heat pump.
“With Melea – The Health Concept, we have created something truly unique, both nationally and internationally. (…) Our holistic concept combines conscious gastronomy, beauty, health preservation, and mental and spiritual development. I believe that Melea – The Health Concept is the forerunner of a new tourism segment in the domestic market, which is particularly attractive not only for domestic but also for foreign visitors,” stressed Alfred Hackl, the hotel’s director.
The new luxury hotel in Sárvár will offer its guests the highest possible standard of care, with the help of excellent specialists, using traditional and holistic medicine. Guests will experience a special approach before they arrive, as about two weeks before check-in, the Melea team will send out a health assessment questionnaire, which they will be expected to complete and return.
This is followed, no later than the day of arrival, by a laboratory test to check key baseline health values, followed by personal consultations with a specialist in internal medicine, personal trainer, dietician, and beauty therapist.
After the consultations, guests will receive a personalized, individualized program plan and diet which they can accept or request to be modified.
Chef Gábor Gyurik and his team are responsible for the gastronomic concept of Melea. Together with the dietician, they have developed a gastronomic service in line with the hotel’s philosophy, with four menu systems (vegan, low-fat, indulgent or “Mediterranean,” and normal) that cover most dietary needs.
Melea also offers a number of small group classes, such as yoga (with separate beginner and advanced levels), tai chi, pilates, and Nordic walking. In addition, guests can also take part in cooking classes.
The hotel offers visitors packages for either four, seven, or 10 days, including three meals a day, accommodation, basic examinations and consultations, unlimited use of the spa and fitness facilities, and some treatments.
