Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and several members of the government held a science policy meeting with Nobel Prize-winning physicist Ferenc Krausz at the Carmelite Monastery on Wednesday morning.
The meeting reviewed the measures needed to achieve the strategic goals of the Molecular and Fingerprint Research Centre (CMF), headed by the world-famous Hungarian scientist, up to 2030.
Based on the discussion, the government will finalize its proposal for further government support for the research, the statement said.

According to its website, research at the Molecular Fingerprinting Research Center is guided by a single goal: to monitor human health by studying the smallest changes in the molecular composition of blood plasma using state-of-the-art ultra-short pulse laser technology. Their aim is to make infrared molecular fingerprinting a cornerstone of next-generation molecular diagnostics, opening up a new way to comprehensively assess the health of the population.
