From the end of October, the Hungarian-owned low-cost airline will operate four flights a week to Stockholm’s main airport.
Wizz Air will transfer its Budapest flights from Stockholm Skavsta Airport to Sweden’s busiest international airport, Stockholm Arlanda Airport, near the city center, from October 31, Turizmus.com reports. The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Budapest.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport is located just 30 minutes from central Stockholm by public transport, giving passengers a faster and cheaper way to the popular city center,
according to their website. Sweden’s capital boasts a fascinating mix of modern and medieval architecture, as well as thousands of unique islands, making it a great choice for nature lovers, the low-cost airline wrote in a statement.
As Hungary Today reported before, the airline recently announced that it will expand the number of flights from the Hungarian capital on nine popular routes, with a total of 14 new flights per week to meet the increased demand. Furthermore, from the beginning of October, the Egyptian resort city of Sarm es-Sejk will be directly accessible from Budapest twice a week.
