The Financial Times business daily publishes an annual ranking of the world’s top 100 management master’s programs, and Corvinus University of Budapest’s Master’s in Management and Leadership has made it on the list again this year, reports Világgazdaság.
The list’s compilers have included Hungarian courses almost without interruption since 2005, when the list was first published. Corvinus is ranked 94th this year, up four places from last year.
In terms of value for money, Corvinus is ranked highly among the top 100 courses, with the Master of Management and Leadership ranked 17th by the Financial Times.
The ranking shows that 99 percent of Corvinus Master of Management and Leadership students who graduated last year found a job within three months, and two-thirds of 2020 graduates increased their earnings in the two to three years after graduation.
“Our position in the Financial Times rankings is an important professional endorsement and a huge achievement that we continue to perform well in an increasingly competitive and crowded international market.
There are only 39 schools in the ranking, like Corvinus University of Budapest, that have consistently been ranked in the top 100 schools of management over the last 10 years, and only five business schools from the Central and Eastern European region,”
pointed out Lajos Szabó, Acting Rector of the institution.
The Financial Times ranking included courses from 27 countries, with the highest number from France, India, and the UK. This year, the French HEC Paris topped the ranking, swapping places with the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, which had been in first place in previous years.
Both schools are partners of Corvinus in the CEMS international management training program, which is integrated into the Corvinus English-language Master’s degree in Management and Leadership. Students graduating from these courses will therefore receive a second degree in addition to their Corvinus degree.
This second CEMS degree has been ranked by global higher education analyst firm Quacquarelli Symonds as the 12th best course in the world for management education in 2023.
All students of the English-language Management and Leadership degree spend a semester at a top international university as part of the CEMS program,
emphasized Péter Móricz, Head of the Management and Leadership Department at Corvinus.
