The second ZamJam festival in Zamárdi (town on the southern shore of Lake Balaton) starts on Thursday and will last for three days, with Hungarian and foreign stars on the main stage and a number of free events throughout the city.
According to the organizers, there will be around 100 programs at 20 venues. The panoramic MOL stage on the waterfront will feature performances by the Earth Wind & Fire Experience, Ferenc Demjén, Miklós Fenyő, and Róbert Szikora, the Csík Band with Gábor Presser and János Karácsony, Budapest Bar, and János Bródy.
On the Panorama stage, the Budapest Jazz Club will host a number of musicians representing this dance music. The concerts, starting at 3pm each day, will be free of charge.
The festival will also include a house party on the open-air beach in Zamárdi. Songs by Tamás Cseh will be performed free of charge at the lookout point of Zamárdi’s Kőhegy.
The Literature Terrace will host discussions with authors, and an interactive improvisation performance.
Zamárdi Garden Cinema will screen a cult Balaton movie, but before that, the host will discuss the film with the creators.
This year, the festival will also see the launch of the Staropramen Gastronomy Walk, where the Balaton Circle has invited the best restaurants of the region, and the Wine Selection Truck will be present with wines.
Rozmaring Kiskert Restaurant and Pizzeria will offer themed DJ sets and music history roundtable discussions, while guitar performances will be staged in Zamárdi’s open restaurants and terraces at different locations every day.
The second ZamJam Small-sided Football Cup will be organized again this year, and on Saturday, the Budavár Palace District will offer a museum-educational craft program for the little ones.
