The Hungarian American Civic Federation (Amerikai-Magyar Polgári Körök Szövetsége – AMPKSZ) has published its own version of celebrating Pride day. The US-based initiative has posted its own interpretation of Pride day as the LGBTQ community was marching through the capital Budapest holding up the rainbow flag.
Their Facebook post reads:
This is our Pride flag, this is what we are proud of!
Happy pride day to all our compatriots in the United States, and indeed to all Hungarians living in minorities or in the diaspora across the globe! We are proud to be Hungarians, and we only have one flag: red, white and green.
