The MCC Plus program provides free training for students and those interested in the MCC’s talent management activities. It is primarily aimed at students who wish to get involved in Mathias Corvinus Collegium life beyond the courses that include dormitory accommodation, reports Magyar Nemzet.
The MCC Plus program, started in autumn 2022, with 45 students, aims to enable Mathias Corvinus Collegium to offer its unique talent development programs to a wider audience. The program will also make MCC’s courses available to talented students, who
due to academic and other commitments, are unable to take advantage of the residential college option, but who have achieved outstanding results in the admissions process.
The press release highlighted that students in the MCC Plus program have the opportunity to participate in all MCC events as well as in training courses for the entire teaching staff of the institution.
In the first year of the program, for example, they had the opportunity to meet foreign experts such as Jeffrey Sachs, Vincent Harinam, Kevin Roberts, and Adrian Vermeule.
Students can immerse themselves in the topics of their interest through exclusive lectures by invited guests, and a few years of outstanding performance can lead to an MCC degree.
Students can also apply for trips abroad and to study in Vienna, Berlin, and Oxford thanks to MCC’s international networking.
In addition, it was found that many high achievers in the first academic year have joined junior courses or improved their language skills thanks to the opportunities provided by MCC.
Given the high level of interest,
the aim for the next quarter is to develop the educational packages, expand the program elements, and attract new students.
The more than 200 events announced for the 2022/2023 academic year attracted a total of more than 1,500 participants.
