A summer-long series of events organized by 36 family estates from Zalacsány to Kisgörbő in the Zala Valley (the basin of the Zala-hills, a Transdanubian area to the west of Lake Balaton), has begun From July to September, reports turizmus.com.
Visitors can learn the skills of sausage making sausage and jam from farmers, or even the art of the Zala sugar pie, or they can go horse riding, archery shooting, or quad biking.
On Saturday, July 8, active holidaymakers holding at least a motorbike license can participate in a Quad-riding herb and adventure tour on and around the Bezerédi mountain.
…or they can shoot archery and taste quail egg specialities on Sunday, July 9, at the Aktívklub-Zala24 Porta.
The Keszler Estate will have its first informal wine tasting event on August 2, from 4pm onwards.

The Open Courtyard program includes wine and brandy tastings, Mangalica pork and beef afternoons, lavender and fruit harvests, and interactive performances.
Visitors to the Sümegcseh Kondás Estate can taste and buy traditional artisanal butchery products without additives and bain-marie, and also get an insight into the preparation of the products.
Horse riding is also on offer in the Zala Valley. Participants can actively join in with the hosts, using their own creative personalities to shape the events. The detailed list of events is available on the event page.
