40 percent Think Artificial Intelligence Would Help in Their Work

According to a survey by job website Profession.hu, 40 percent of young adults believe that artificial intelligence would help them in their work.

Profession.hu 2023 conducted a representative survey this spring among 18-65 year-olds on the use of artificial intelligence, interviewing 1,000 Hungarian workers. They explained that according to their survey, 12 percent of employees have already used artificial intelligence, with a higher proportion of it being young people, those with higher education, or those living in Budapest.

The vast majority of AI users have used ChatGPT, an option used more by men than women.
The survey also found that

a quarter of 18-29 year olds have used ChatGPT, compared to only around five percent of those aged 40+.

The research showed that the use of ChatGPT increases in proportion to educational level, with four percent of people with primary education, 11 percent of people with secondary education, and 17 percent of people with tertiary education using it.

Workers mostly see AI as a helping tool, according to the report.

40 percent of respondents said it could make their daily tasks more efficient.

Of these respondents, a higher than average proportion are men, from the age group of 18-29 year olds, or those with higher education.

At the same time,

around 23 percent of respondents have reservations about how AI or machine learning could affect their work.

Imre Tüzes, Business Development Director of Profession.hu, said in the statement that it is evident that artificial intelligence is increasingly being integrated into work processes, not replacing human labor, but complementing it. The technology does not replace the job itself at the expense of the human being, but takes over subtasks that free up capacity for employees.
