Hungary Today 2023.06.07.

Pianist Ádám György will open the Champions League final at the Atatürk Stadium in Istanbul on Saturday evening. The Liszt Ferenc Award-winning and Steinway artist will play his own arrangement of the Champions League anthem as the players enter the pitch just before the starting whistle, reports Origo Sport.

Ádám György is a regular performer at New York’s highly prestigious Carnegie Hall, and is one of the best-known Hungarian artists today. He is the founder and artistic director of the New York Franz Liszt International Piano Competition, which brings the art of the world-famous Hungarian composer Liszt to millions of people every year.

He is also responsible for the Liszt Festival, which has grown to become the world’s largest celebration of Liszt beyond the borders of Europe. György has been performing for more than 20 years and has visited concert halls in places as far afield as the United States, Southeast Asia and Japan, as well as Europe.

The Champions League final will be played between Manchester City and Inter Milan on Saturday, starting at 21:00.
