Hungary’s Beauty Pageant Down to 16 Semifinalists

After one lady withdrew from the competition, and three dropped out of the training camp, the semifinal field of Miss World Hungary 2023 has received its final shape. The jury has also announced the winners of the four sub-contests, and the program will now continue with a communication training, language courses, runway walk, dress and dance rehearsals, as well as learning choreography – reported Hirado.hu.

Hungary’s most beautiful girl will be chosen again soon. The two-week training camp in Siófok, at Lake Balaton, started with 19 contestants instead of 20, as one contestant withdrew due to her studies. In the first stage, the crown candidates had to compete in several subcompetitions, and for three of them, the challenge is now over.

Once again this year, the jury will be assessing the ladies’ talent and skills, as well as their looks.

Orsolya Szabó won the Miss Fashion sub-competition, Patrícia Koncz won Miss Sport, Patrícia Koncz and Orsolya Szabó tied for Miss Natural Beauty and Bella Zafír Novák came out on top in Miss Talent.

This year the organizers will pay special attention to introducing the queen candidates to the audience  from as many sides as possible, as in addition to their looks, the jury must also assess the knowledge and talent of the ladies,

– stated one of the jury members.

“At the selection rounds of Miss World Hungary, we are looking for beauty, self-identity and an exemplary personality. It is also important that the contestants have their own charitable cause and involvement. Following the new rules of the Miss World competition, this year the girls will wear sportswear instead of bikinis. For the first time, we also had a Natural Photography subcategory, which brings us one step closer to naturalness,” she added.

A total of 16 contestants qualified for the live broadcast final on 11 June. After the votes of the judges, the contestant with the highest score will win the title of Miss World Hungary for one year and the opportunity to represent Hungary in the international finals.

The Audience Winner prize will be awarded again this year, and Duna viewers – including those from abroad – will be able to vote for the contestant they consider the most beautiful. Viewers will be updated on the progress of the beauty contest on social media. The coverage will also be available online at Médiaklikk.hu.
