The director of the Hungarian National Theater, Attila Vidnyánszky, has been appointed to the International Committee of the ongoing Theater Olympics.
The International Committee of the Theater Olympics, in the presence of Chairman Theodoros Terzopoulos, Co-Founder Tadashi Suzuki, and Valery Fokin, International Committee Member, officially elected Attila Vidnyánszky, General Director of the Hungarian National Theater, as a member of the International Committee, the theater informed in a statement.
The opening event of the 10th International Theater Olympics was held on 15 April in Budapest. 400 companies from 58 countries with 750 productions and 7500 performers participate in the programs, in almost 100 venues across the country, until 1 July. Special performances, theater, dance, puppetry, children’s and youth festivals, amateur and student theatre gatherings, exhibitions, and professional programs will take place across the country.
There will be performances from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK, and productions by companies from the Republic of South Africa, China, Japan, and Mexico.
