Aeroexpress Regional, a newly established Hungarian airline, will launch its Budapest-Cluj-Budapest flights earlier than planned. Instead of next March, flights will start from December 16, in view of the great demand, the airline told MTI on Thursday.
According to the statement, the experience of the two-month autumn test period has shown that it is a priority to maintain air connections between the two cities. Flights will run Monday-Wednesday-Friday.
The statement also informed travelers that the launch of flights to the Carpathian Basin and regional destinations is still planned for the spring, with the continuation of the connections to Debrecen, Hungary and Târgu Mureș, Romania and the inclusion of additional destinations.
Aeroexpress Regional is the new Hungarian airline with a three-decade history that has been providing services in Finland for many years. The founding shareholder of the company is BASe Airlines Zrt., a 100% Hungarian-owned company, and the founders are private individuals.
The emergence of Aeroexpress could make a big difference to the Hungarian aviation market, but this will require a stable number of passengers on the routes that have been recently launched. However, as things stand now, their projected number of passengers is high.
