The Mathias Corvinus Collegium is opening a new center in Brussels, Director General Zoltán Szalai announced at the institution’s year-opening ceremony.
“Hungary has grown into a knowledge superpower, and MCC plays a big role in it,” Balázs Orbán, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), said at the talent promotion institution’s opening ceremony of the academic year on Friday in Budapest.
Balázs Orbán – who is also the prime minister’s political director – stressed that the MCC aims to support Hungarian talents. “It doesn’t matter where the talent comes from, it only matters what the students are capable of and what they can bring out of themselves,” he said.

Director General Zoltán Szalai Announced that the Mathias Corvinus Collegium will open its Brussels Center in October. The new institution will also host conferences and book launches, and in the future, MCC students will be able to go on regular field trips to the EU’s headquarters.
The Mathias Corvinus Collegium has an upcoming major event: the MCC Budapest Summit international summit at the end of September, which will focus on the economic consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
World-renowned American philosopher Peter Boghossian also attended the ceremony.
