Katalin Novák, President of the Republic of Hungary, and her spouse were invited last week to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on September 19, according to Sándor Palace, the office of the President, reported Telex.
Telex, a Hungarian news site, pointed out that Katalin Novák will attend the funeral, although there is no information yet on the size of the delegation and whether Viktor Orbán has been invited to the event. The portal asked Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s spokesman, about the attendance of Mr. Orbán, but has not yet received a reply.
The funeral service will be held in Westminster Abbey, next to the Palace of Westminster.
Historic figures such as Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking are buried there, and Queen Elizabeth II was married and crowned there.
However, Westminster Abbey has not hosted a funeral service for a British monarch since the 18th century, and the last member of the royal family to be buried here was Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.
Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral service will be attended by members of the Royal Family and heads of state from around the world, as well as former British Prime Ministers and other prominent British politicians.
The coffin will be pulled by marines along the approximately 200-meter route from the Palace of Westminster to the Abbey, where it will be placed on a cannon platform, and the procession will be accompanied by the new King and key members of the Royal Family.

The funeral service will be led by the Dean of Westminster, David Hoyle, and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. As BBC wrote on their Twitter account, on Sunday, the night before the Queen’s funeral, a one-minute silence is going to be held across the UK.
After the service, the coffin will be escorted by foot to Wellington Arch in London’s Hyde Park, where it will be loaded onto a hearse and transported to Windsor. Queen Elizabeth II will be laid to rest at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor alongside her husband and royal predecessors.
