Corvinus University Becomes First in Hungary to Acquire Prestigious Business Accreditation

Hungary Today 2022.07.21.

Budapest’s Corvinus University has acquired the accreditation of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AASCB), a hallmark of excellence in business education earned only by roughly six percent of the world’s business schools.

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) announced on July 19, 2022 that the Corvinus University of Budapest has been awarded the accreditation. Thereby, the higher education institution has become the first in Hungary to be accredited by the organization.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the largest business education network connecting learners, educators, and businesses worldwide.

Through a rigorous peer-review process, AACSB accreditation ensures that business schools meet the highest standards of excellence in teaching, research, curriculum, and learner success. Currently, 954 institutions in 59 countries are accredited.

We congratulate Corvinus University of Budapest and Dean Zoltán Szántó on earning accreditation, and applaud the entire team—including the administration, faculty, staff, and students—for their roles in earning this respected honor.”

Corvinus Dean Zoltán Szántó said:

“Earning the AACSB accreditation is a milestone of utmost importance in the implementation of the new mission and strategy of Corvinus University of Budapest. Corvinus started a wide-ranging renewal program in 2019, and so far, this is the most significant indication that we are on the right path towards the highest international standards in business education and research.”
