Election 2022 – Turnout 62.92% at 5pm

By 5pm on Sunday, 62.92% of Hungary’s voters, 4,840,928 people, had cast their ballots in the general election, the National Election Office (NVI) said.

Turnout at 5pm was highest (67.09pc) in Vas County and lowest (57.51pc) in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, in the north. Turnout in Budapest was 66.82 percent.

Turnout at 5.30pm in the last general election four years ago was 63.21 percent, following 56.77 percent in 2014.

Referendum – Turnout at 62.23% at 5pm

By 5pm on Sunday, 62.23 percent of Hungary’s voters, 4,787,527 people, had cast their ballots in the referendum on what the government calls “child-protection law,” the National Election Office (NVI) said.

Turnout at 5pm was highest (66.25pc) in Vas County, in western Hungary, and lowest (56.72pc) in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, in the north. Turnout in Budapest was 66.25 percent.
