In the northeastern Hungarian Mátra Mountains, 15 cm of fresh snow fell by Friday morning. The weather will remain frosty over the weekend and you can expect further snowfall and black ice.

The intense snowfall started in the Mátra Mountains on Thursday, and by Friday morning there was already 15 cm of snow on the Kékestető.
On Friday it will be sunny in most of the country; only in the east will rain, sleet or snow be expected. Highs will be between 2 and 6 degrees.
The sun will shine on Sunday as well, but rain, sleet, and snow can be expected in the evening in the northwest. Temperatures will be between 0 and 5 degrees.
Sunday will be cloudy, with precipitation throughout the country. While it will rain in the southeast, sleet and snow may occur in the northeast and northwest. Temperatures will range from minus 4 to +2 degrees, but further northeast the temperature may reach minus 8 degrees.
