A family of four in Budapest with fake immunity certificates has been hospitalized with the coronavirus. The father passed away and his wife is in serious condition. The hospital staff found the family’s immunity certificates suspicious and informed the authorities.
According to Blikk, none of the family members had been vaccinated, but they needed immunity certificates because they often travel abroad.
The couple’s two young children are also in intensive care and require mechanical ventilation in a hospital in Budapest.
The police are investigating the immunity certificates in the possession of family members. Fake documents are on the rise, with police currently investigating 17 cases in which healthcare workers have been involved in making them for financial gain.
