The Budapest metropolitan council will again carry out projects worth a total of one billion forints (EUR 2.8m) based on proposals submitted by the city’s residents, the Budapest Mayor’s Office said on Wednesday.
The projects will cover three categories aimed at increasing green spaces in the city, aiding disadvantaged communities and advancing cooperation within the city’s communities and among Budapest residents and institutions, the office said in a statement.
It noted that 15 projects were already being implemented based on Budapesters’ ideas from the one billion forints set aside for this purpose in the city’s 2020 budget.
Residents have until January 31, 2022 to submit their proposals for the next round of projects, the statement said.
