The stormy wind with a speed of 90 kilometers per hour made Lake Balaton tilt from east to west. The difference between the water levels at Keszthely in the west and Balatonfűzfő in the east reached as much as 76 cm.

A cold front is approaching Hungary and the stormy wind has already reached the western part of the country. Its speed was more than 90 kilometers per hour, having enough power to tilt the water of Lake Balaton. While the water level at 7:15 a.m. was still 62 cm at Keszthely in the west, it dropped to 47 cm by the afternoon. At Balatonaliga in the east, however, it rose from 99 to 116 cm at the same time. A similar trend was also observed at Balatonfűzfő in the northeast, with the water level rising by 20 cm between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
