Gov’t Proposes Display of ‘National Creed’ in Public Institutions

MTI-Hungary Today 2021.08.05.

Marking the tenth anniversary of Hungary’s Fundamental Law, the government will display the National Creed, a credo of values preceding the preamble of the Fundamental Law, in its buildings and encourages public institutions to do the same, the Government Information Centre (KTK) said on Wednesday.

Government, public administration and local government institutions are also encouraged to display the Creed in focal points of public buildings, to honour the Hungarian nation around its national holiday on August 20, KTK said.

“In a Europe plagued with crises, the government sees it as especially important to symbolically strengthen the values that helped Hungary and Hungarians survive through the centuries,” KTK said.
