Two and a half weeks before the Opening Ceremony, the Hungarian team preparing for the Olympic Games, set to commence on July 26, gathered in Budapest to take the Olympic oath. Captain Tamás Lőrincz, Olympic champion wrestler from the Defense Forces’ Sports Squadron, proudly held the Hungarian flag during the ceremony.

According to honvedelem.hu, among the 180 Hungarian participants, 23 military athletes are slated to represent Hungary in Paris.

The 33th Summer Olympics, scheduled from July 26 to August 11, will host 11 women and 12 men from the Hungarian Defense Forces, competing across ten sports: fencing, kayak, pentathlon, judo, triathlon, athletics, wrestling, boxing, shooting, and swimming.

Some of the Hungarian military athletes participating include Sergeant Gergely Siklósi (fencing), Corporal Ádám Varga (kayak), Platoon leader Kolos Csizmadia (kayak), Platoon leader Pupp Noémi (kayak), Corporal Sára Fojt (kayak), Corporal  Balázs Adolf (canoe), Corporal Dániel Fejes (canoe), Platoon leader Blanka Guzi (pentathlon), Corporal Csaba Bőhm (pentathlon), Corporal Szofi Özbas (judo), Corporal Zsombor Vég (figure dancing), Platoon leader Zsanett Bragmayer (triathlon), Platoon leader Bence Venyercsán (athletics), Platoon leader Rita Récsei (athletics), Sergeant Zoltán Lévai (wrestling), Platoon leader Dániel Dósa (fencing), Flóra Pásztor (fencing), Platoon leader Richárd Kovács (boxing), Squad leader Sára Fábián (shooting), buck sergeant Bernadett Nagy (wrestling), Platoon leader Norbert Tóth (athletics), and Ágnes Kiss (canoeing) and Panna Ugrai (swimming).
