2022 Hungarian Motion Picture Festival Kicks-off on Thursday

The 2022 Hungarian Motion Picture Festival will take place in Veszprém and at Lake Balaton from the 9th to the 12th of June, with open-air screenings, Hungarian film premieres, festival award winners, stars, and artist-meets-audience events.

In three cities and nine locations in total – namely Veszprém, Balatonfüred, and Balatonalmádi – cinema lovers will be able to watch nearly a hundred Hungarian films.

The festival will screen the best Hungarian feature films, documentaries, TV films, animations, and short films of the year, and will also host the premieres of several movies, while the closing ceremony of the festival will see the presentation of the Hungarian Cinema Awards.

On the festival website, from June 8-12 until noon, the audience can vote for the best films in the best movies categories.

The Hungarian Motion Picture Festival films will be screened in Hungarian, with English subtitles available for selected screenings.
