Mysterious things happened recently, with the River Bodrog in the famous wine-producing town of Tokaj where the Bodrog meets the River Tisza. Well, the north-eastern Hungarian river has not turned to blood yet, but it the direction of its flow has changed. Such as an apocalyptic sign the river started to flow backward.
The Bodrog is a tributary to the river Tisza. It crosses the Slovak–Hungarian border at the village of Felsőberecki in Hungary, and Streda nad Borogom in Slovakia, where it is also the lowest point in Slovakia (94.3 m AMSL), and continues its flow through the Hungarian county Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, until it meets the river Tisza, in Tokaj.
By the way, the River Tisza is flooding like “icy hell” too. Massive ice floes drift ships away on Tisza and it impressive footage has emerged of ice melting on the frozen Tisza river in Hungary. The aerial video, shot on Monday morning, shows slabs of ice floating down the stream. According to reports, the melting of the surface ice can cause flooding and “mini tsunamis” in the river.
