Hungarian international midfielder Zsanett Jakabfi scored a sensational hat-trick to give German side Wolfsburg a stunning away victory over Chelsea Ladies at Stamford Bridge in a Women’s Champions League round of 32 tie.
Jakabfi, a key player of the Hungarian national team since 2007, scooped the ball over Chelsea goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl for the opening goal in 12th minute. The Hungarian was left unmarked and headed in a second seven minutes before the break. The 26-year-old former MTK Budapest midfielder completed her hat-trick with a calm finish after a swift counter attack in the second half.
Having won the competition twice since 2012-13, Wolfsburg are now awaiting the second leg in a more than comfortable position.
