Wizz Air will launch flights from Budapest Airport to the island of Kos in Greece from July 16th.
On Thursday, the airline announced that it will soon be possible to travel to ten destinations in Greece from Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport. Tickets to the island of Kos are already on sale.
In their statement, Wizz Air emphasized that despite the difficulties posed by the pandemic, they aim to continuously widen their international network and fleet.
In the financial year until March 2021, the number of passengers that traveled with the low-cost carrier decreased to about a fourth of the number of passengers in the previous year. While in the first quarter of the current financial year Wizz Air still operates at a lower capacity, and expect further losses during the upcoming period, they plan to return to the pre-pandemic schedules from the 2022-23 financial year.
