Will Smith Back in Budapest, Impressed by Bridges of the Capital

Fanni Kaszás 2019.09.18.

Will Smith is yet again in Budapest, according to his official Instagram page, as he has already uploaded a video to the photo-sharing social media platform. The actor – along with director Ang Lee – came to the Hungarian capital to promote his latest movie at the film’s premiere, as Gemini Man was partly shot in Budapest last year.

In the meantime, Smith has already arrived in Budapest and uploaded yet another video of our gorgeous capital. This time, from a relatively high point on the Buda side, he philosophizes of the greatness of our bridges and shared a video on wondering with Jaden Smith, his son, about how bridges are built.

Last year, during the filming of Gemini man, Will Smith arrived with his family to the Hungarian capital and got really friendly with fans. In addition, after days of shooting, including locations like the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Szabadság Square, and the Fisherman’s Bastion, he visited some Hungarian restaurants. He spent one month in Budapest, along with Oscar winner director Ang Lee. Smith also uploaded some nice content of the Hungarian capital to his social media sites back then, for example, a slow-motion video, filmed at the Chain Bridge on Father’s Day.

However, probably his most famous act during his stay in Budapest was his video of climbing Chain Bridge, one of the city’s most well-known landmark, also visible from his hotel room, in order to join and probably win the “In My Feelings Challenge” set by Grammy-winning rapper Drake.

On his last day in Budapest, Smith climbed the bridge and showed off the dance moves mimicking the lyrics of Drake’s song ‘In My Feelings.’ The video went viral and even made it to the video clip of Drake’s song, however, the actor confessed in his Facebook post that he was terrified up there.
