Videoton Break Poor Run Of Results As Ferencváros Extend Lead At Top – OTP Bank League Roundup – Videos!

By Tamás Székely // 2015.09.21.

A lucky first half goal from top-scorer Dániel Böde was enough for league-leader Ferencváros to sink rock-bottom Békéscsaba in the 9th round of the Hungarian Football Championship (NB1). Since second-placed Haladás played only a goalless draw against Budapest Honvéd in Szombathely, Ferencváros extended their lead to eleven points at the top of the league.

Third-placed MTK had to settle with a draw against Paksi FC away from home, while Debrecen snatched an important victory against Vasas in Budapest. Diósgyőr‘s clash against Puskás Academy ended up in a goal galore as the home side earned all the three points thanks to an extra-time winner. Meanwhile title-holder Videoton FC were finally able to win over Újpest in Székesfehérvár after a horrible run of results.
