World stars of jazz, classical, pop, and world music will visit Hungary once again as the town of Veszprém in the west of the country will start its annual cultural festival this week. VeszprémFest is not only unique cultural festival owing to its world-class performers, but also because of the places and stages of the festival providing the circumstances that make it a high-class event.
The Festival starts on Wednesday, 13th of July, and lets the audience listen to top-notch singers and musicians until Sunday, 17th of July. In the downtown of the city, at Szentháromság tér, and in the castle you can visit the concerts of Omega Portuondo & Diego El Cigala, Gregory Porter, Lisa Stansfield, Jamie Cullum és Thievery Corporation within the programs of the central European Montreux.
This is the 13th occasion the festival has been held, and the Castle’s main stage shall play host to music enthusiasts over a period of 5 days. This year’s music offering includes world music, jazz and pop, performed by international stars – some of them appearing on stage in Hungary for the very first time – as well as a selection of this summer’s Hungarian music. Apart from the main event you can also attend the Rosé, Riesling and Jazz Days festival, which has been expanded as a result of popular demand.
