The prime ministers of the Visegrad Group countries are holding an informal meeting in Budapest on Thursday, the PM’s press chief said.
The Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian premiers Andrej Babis, Peter Pellegrini, Mateusz Morawiecki and Viktor Orbán will discuss topical issues at the Castle District premises of the Prime Minister’s Office, Bertalan Havasi said.
According to reports by Czech daily Lidove Noviny, the aim of the talks will be to coordinate the four countries’ positions on joint candidates for the top leadership positions of the European Union.
Citing an anonymous source, the paper said the V4 want to reach a common position on the matter ahead of next week’s EU summit in Brussels.
