Unscheduled Landing In Budapest Due to Medial Emergency

A Turkish Airlines flight from Frankfurt to Istanbul made an unscheduled landing in Budapest due to the death of an elderly Turkish passenger, Budapest Airport spokesman Mihály Hardy said on Saturday.

Staff on the aircraft indicated that there was a medical emergency after the flight entered Hungarian airspace, the head of the Airport Medical Service told MTI.

Staff started resuscitating the 85 year-old passenger before the aircraft landed and members of the Airport Medical Service later joined the effort but they were unsuccessful, Ferenc Dávid said.
