Traffic Resumes at Sole Open Hungary-Ukraine Crossing

MTI-Hungary Today 2020.06.02.

Traffic at the Záhony-Cop (Csap) border crossing on the Hungary-Ukraine border has resumed after it was suspended on Sunday morning because Ukraine was “not receiving entrants”, the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County police said on Sunday.

The crossing suspended operation at 10am on Sunday morning. Waiting times for cars reached 16 hours by Sunday afternoon, the police’s website said.

Due to the novel coronavirus epidemic, Záhony is currently the only crossing open between Hungary and Ukraine.
