Tennis World Rankings: Hungarian Player Improves Four Positions

Hungarian female tennis player Tímea Babos has improved four positions and is currently 86th on the latest world rankings, issued on Monday, after winning four matches last week at an event held in Monterrey, Mexico.

American Serena Williams remains at the top of the list with a convincing lead over Russian rival Maria Sharapova and Romanian Simona Halep.

The latest female tennis world rankings, according to WTA’s website, are as follows (with positions for the previous week in brackets):

2. (2.) Marija Sarapova (Russian) 8215
3. (3.) Simona Halep (Romanian) 6571
4. (4.) Petra Kvitova (Hungarian) 6395
