Many Face Technical Problems with Online Covid-19 Vaccine Registration

Many people in Hungary have encountered difficulties while registering online for the coronavirus vaccine, as not everyone who applied on the official website received any confirmation. The problem proves to be particularly unfortunate after it has become clear that only those who register are eligible for vaccination.

The registration for the Covid vaccination started last month on the official government website vakcinainfo.gov.hu.

RTL News on Monday reported that many people who have signed up did not receive the automatic email message confirming their registration.

Comments on social media show that it currently seems random who receives a confirmation email and who doesn’t.

This could be a major problem as those who don’t receive the message cannot prove they’ve already signed up.

RTL asked the operative board how someone can verify their registration if they did not receive any confirmation email, but haven’t received an answer so far.

According to the most recent official data, more than one million people in Hungary have registered to be vaccinated against Covid-19,  while 71,000 people have been inoculated.
