By Robert Velkey // 2017.05.16.

The Danube Arena (in Hungarian: Duna Aréna, unofficially Dagály Budapest Aquatics Complex) is an aquatics complex located in Budapest, Hungary. It was planned by Marcell Ferenc and built between 2015 and 2017. The facility has two full course swimming pools, a diving pool and a short course training pool. The venue has 5000 seats, and 8000 additional mobile seats are designed for the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, to be held in Hungary from July 14 to 30.

On the 15th of May, the building was shining in a spectacular light painting. The light painting was the prepared decoration to the upcoming LEN Champions League 2017. The program is going to be held in the Arena between the 25th and 27th of May 2017.
