The body of the 16th victim of last week’s chip collision has been found in Budapest, the police said on its website on Thursday.
The dead body was discovered near Szabadság (Freedom) Bridge late on Wednesday, and has been identified as one of the 33 South Korean tourists aboard the Hableány (Mermaid) sightseeing boat, which collided with a large cruise ship and sank in the River Danube in central Budapest on May 29, the website said.
A search for ten more South Koreans and a crew of two Hungarians is under way along the river between the collision site and Hungary’s southern border, the police said.
The police reported late on Wednesday that they had identified the bodies of two South Korean women, one found near Margit Bridge and the other downstream from the city.
