British pop superstar Robbie Williams, who is known to rarely perform at festivals, is to give a concert at the 2015 Sziget Festival.
The singer is to perform on the Festival’s Day -1 on 10 August, Budapest being a stop of his tour “Let Me Entertain You”.
Robbie Williams, who will turn 41 on 13 February, last performed in Hungary in April 2014 and his concert on 10 August is expected to be a similar hit with both Hungarian and foreign fans.
Robbie Williams, who has filled entire stadiums during his previous tours, has at long last accepted to give some festival concerts and Sziget’s audience will be among the first to enjoy his greatest hit in a special environment, the festival’s press chief Viktória Vető said. A total of 25 000 day tickets will be sold for 10 August, Sziget’s chief organiser Károly Gerendai added.
“The first 10 000 will be available at an early bird price, HUF 18 000 – which equals the price of an average Sziget day ticket. Later, the price for his day will be HUF 20 000, until reserves run out. Seven-day season tickets will be valid for this day, meaning that the concert is a free gift to them”, he explained.
