Economic research company Penzugykutato has revised its GDP growth forecast for this year to 4.4 percent from 3.9 percent, researcher Éva Várhegyi said on Wednesday.
Growth is supported both by the favourable external environment and stimulus measures, Várhegyi said. GDP growth is expected to slow to 3.2 percent next year, she added.
The government’s official forecast for GDP growth this year is 4.3 percent.
