Rate of Population Decline Increases in Jan

There were fewer births and more deaths in Hungary in January compared with the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.

Fully 5.5 percent fewer children (7,364) were born in January compared with the same month a year earlier, while the number of deaths (13790) increased by 19 percent.
