Hungary’s European parliamentary election started at 6am on Sunday. Some 7.9 million people are eligible to vote at 10,277 polling stations across the country until 7pm.
Voters have been notified about the polling station where they are expected to turn up, while over 97,000 people staying away from home at the time of the election have registered to vote at another location.

Over 110,000 young people, who were under 18 at the time of the latest national election in 2018, will vote for the first time on Sunday.
The National Election Committee will publish participation figures seven times during the day, while the preliminary results are expected to be published at 11pm.
