The “bullets” found at the Democratic Coalition’s (DK) office at Kaptárkő street (Budapest 11th district) proved to be ball bearings and weren’t shot out of a firearm, a statement of the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) confirmed on Thursday afternoon.
The attack, discovered on Wednesday afternoon, left multiple holes in DK’s building, including the window. At a press conference on Thursday, the party’s spokesman Balázs Barkóczi said that no one was inside the office when the shots were fired.
The police statement also revealed that during the on-site inspection, a total of two ball bearings were found, each with a diameter of 0.8 cm.
BRFK’s 11th district headquarters launched an investigation against an unknown perpetrator for vandalism.
